Abstract:Quantum computation has been widely studied and is one of the most important problems in physics. The applications of quantum computation include post-quantum cryptography, search problems, simulation of quantum systems, quantum annealing etc. Up to now the most important challenge is the physical realization of quantum computation, which is the bottleneck of the engineering and scientific application of quantum computation. I will introduce the physical realization of quantum computers and quantum simulations, which involve knowledge from quantum physics, condensed matter physics, particle physics and engineering.
报告人简介:雷超,2008年于华中科技大学电子科学与技术系获得工学学士学位,2015年于中国科学技术大学近代物理系获得物理学博士学位,从事量子信息与量子模拟研究。2016年至今在德州大学奥斯汀分校任博士后,副研究员,从事凝聚态理论研究。研究方向包括量子模拟,拓扑绝缘体,拓扑超导,磁性材料,二维材料,莫尔材料,拓扑磁电效应,磁光效应,量子反常霍尔效应等。近五年先后在PNAS,PRL,Nano Letters等国际一流杂志发表文章20余篇,长期担任PRL,Nano Letters,APL,The Innovation等杂志审稿人。
